"How Much Is That Goosey In The Window"

As I was cleaning up the house this past week I have had a friend keeping a close eye on me.

You see this is  Goosey our goose. He is the last of our 6 gaggle of geese we had. It has been a hard winter on the geese here since a new predator moved into the barn yard. "Freddie the weasel" Freddie is a sly little fellow how has been bringing down my numbers in my hens our Rooster,and yes our geese as well. Well Freddie had finally got our last female goose who was Goosey's  BFF. Now poor Goosey spends his days wondering around seeing his reflection in the picture windows in the living room.

Have you ever had a Weasel hanging around? They are not a fun to have around. They are almost impossible to catch!
We want to move out cats out to the barn but can not until we get rid of the Freddie. We tried this a few years back,and we lost 2 kittens because of one.

So for the meantime until we can find poor Goosey another friend, he will just have to pretend with his  imaginary friend.

The New Master Suite

I know,I know I have not been around the blogging world again, and believe me I feel terrible. But life sometimes keeps us so busy that it also keeps us away from the things we love doing most. (Like blogging)
So I will not make anymore promises I will blog when I can get a moment even if it is only a small posting.

We have had some beautiful Spring weather this past week. We went from freezing cold temps to a WOW 25 degrees. The snow has dropped so much and the yard is like a pig pen. This week however the temps are freezing once again. It went down to -15 overnight. What a change.

With Spring on it's way the green house is in full swing, and I am sure new spring arriivals with be popping up any day now in the barn.

We finally made it to the trailer to take a peek inside and we had no winter damage thus far that we could see. Once the weather warms up a bit like it had I will make my way out there to give it a good spring cleaning.
We are getting the camping itch already.

My Mom came home for the weekend once again and had a great stay. We too her back to the hospital late Sunday afternoon and she was pretty tired. She is coming along well and is awaiting her new equipment to be able to come home with.

HB has just started back on his day shifts after having the last 2 weekends off.  He spent his time building another work truck,as a spare to travel to the mine with.

Justin has kinda gotten over Skidoo fever, but with the beautiful weather we have had it had began Dirt bike weather. (Yep you guessed it, he is now working out the winter sitting bugs out of his dirt bike and getting it tuned for the season)

Jayne had a great Friday evening as she went to a friends birthday party from after school till 8. It was a boy that she goes to school with. He is a very good friend of hers and used to live on the next road. They moved around Christmas time about a half hour away to a large country estate that had went for sale. They took us for the grand tour and it was amazing. Jayne was the only girl at the party,but fit right in. They even had a savenger hunt in there barn that does not yet house any livestock. (What fun)

Jill has been keeping busy with Nellie her horse. She has been trying to clean her up and make her look like her old self after a winter and muddy Spring thus far. (Not good for a white horse)

So I finally got my camera back to working order, and have been wanting to post some pics of the New master suite.

And there you have it.....
After waiting so long for this room to be finished, I can finally say that it was well worth the wait.

Back On The Blogging Band Wagon

Good Monday Morning.
I hope you are all well. I am back and feeling refreshed after a lovely March break. Thank you to all of you who sent along lovely emails wondering if all was alright after not blogging in awhile due to a few reasons. Thank you also to those who sent their tips and share home remedies for my nasty cold that I had.
But I am back and ready to share so much with you.
I had a terrible nasty cold that just drug me through a week and a half before March break. After finally getting through that we decided to bring Mom home from the hospital for the weekend of the beginning of March break as Saturday the 3rd was Justin's 14th Birthday,and she wanted to be here for it. Due to a storm coming that day we brought her home on Friday evening and brought her back on Sunday afternoon. She did very well and we all enjoyed having her home. The weeones and I went to her house for brunch with her and my Dad on Saturday morning, as HB worked nights and needed to sleep,also it was easier to go to her then her to us.
We had a BarBque in a snow storm for Justin's birthday supper, fourntualy my parents deck is enclosed with a roof so we were able to do so.
Mom should only have a few more weeks in the hospital and if all goes well she will in her home. Hard to believe that it was a year on the 4th.

Justin had only wanted a little Birthday and as it was storming out that is what he got. He did however receive a   for his Birthday and new flat screen TV for his room as his old clunker quit. He was pretty excited. He also received other gifts of Money as he is saving for things for his Skidoo and motorbike.
Justin's TV was not the the only thing that was old and decided to quit. My camera did that day as well. So unfounrtaly I have no Birthday pictures of my little 14 year old Man to share on that day with you.

Monday was HB's first day off after night shifts so he slept till noon. Justin went Skidooing and the girls and I took off to the Movies in town for a mantiee to see Dr. Seuss's the Lorax in 3D.
 We had a great girls afternoon out.

Tuesday we set off to the next town about a hour away to do a little family bonding and shopping.
HB had to stop along the way to pic up some parts for the truck and then we headed into the town and went to the little mall.(this is where I totally jump back a few pages and then come back)

3 weeks ago I began to watch my weight. I decided I was over weight about 29 pounds and it was time to do something about it. I have been having high blood presure for about a year now and with all the stress of my Mom I just figured that was it. But I have put on a few extra pounds and over the holidays I did the same again.More pounds. So It was overtime for a change.
My weigh in day is Saturday and on the first week I was down 5 pounds. I was so excited. Although they say the first week is usually water. But it still felt great to hope up on those scales and see the results. I could even see it when I went to try on some new jeans at Retimans and all the ones I had taken into the changing room were to big. I went down a whole pant size.
The second week I was down another 3 pounds for a grand total of 8 pounds in 2 weeks. So as part of my reward I went to pick up a few new clothes I needed for Spring. I so need new cloths as mine were getting pretty ratty and I am very frigul shopper and find it so hard to spend money on myself. But this was my chance.
(Ok back to where I left off at the Mall)
The girls and I headed over to Smartset (My all time favorite shop) I had seen this beautiful blouse online and new it was just for me. Yep they still had it and it was now on sale. I tryed on the XL to find out that it was to big and I needed the Large. Perfect. I found a nice little tank to go underneath it.
The girls went to Ardenes and found loads of fun and colorful things from jewerly to cloths,to shoes,scraves, and lip glosses. The boys found the elictronic store and spent all there time in there. I also picked up Justin another t-shirt for school. We left the mall and ventured over to the Dairy Queen and too it to the ski hill to watch the downhill skiers before heading home the long way along the water.
It was a great day.
Wednesday The weeones and I headed in the other direction to another town about a hour away. HB decided not to join us as he had to much to do around the farm. We did a little shopping and then went for lunch at Jungle Jim's. (A fun jungle themed restaurant .) He a bit more shopping and I went again to my favorite store Smartset there too. I got 2 more new tops and a new Spring purse. We went to the Bulk barn for some candy goodies for Easter before heading back home.
Thursday was a beautiful day here. We were even the highest in the country at one point. 18 degrees. It really was a Spring day. (even though Spring is a week away)
Friday HB went back to work day shift and the girls and I ran some errands. Justin went to my in-laws for the weekend. So the girls and I stopped by the video store on our way home to pick up movies and a couple of Wii games.
Saturday the girls had Kids scrap and I ran to pick up the items for the week that I had forgotten. We came home and made pizza and garlic fingers.
Sunday we slept in with the time change. It felt great!!! Jill came down and crawled into bed with me at 10:00 WOW !!!!
Jayne was not far behind her. We finally crawled out of bed made a quick breakfast ate, made a coffee,and a couple of hot cocoas and headed back to bed to watch hoodwinked too in bed on our new flat screen TV that HB bought as his treat and addition to our new master bedroom.
After the movie we got up and continued with our Sunday as usual. Hospital visiting,making supper,picking up Justin and then settling in with the Family to watch Heartland our family TV night.
All in all I think our March break was pretty good, even though we were not at Disney like most of the people we know.
But just being home with the family is even better.

Wednesday Chit Chat

Good morning. It has been a few days since I was around my blog, and I have been keeping busy around the farm and the house.
Monday after the weeones went off to school and HB back to work I got busy and cleaned. My poor floors were in dire needs of vacuuming and a good washing. (Oh the joys of having pets in the house when it comes to this time of year with the hair) next it will be mud mixed with God only knows.
Anyhow I managed to get it all done and the mount of laundry as well.
I did however pop in throughout the day and tweeted.
Yesterday I thought I would begin upstairs with a clean up. Ever since we moved down to the ground floor I find myself not taking the time and going up and sweeping and vacuuming as much as I did before. (I guess I am not there to see the dust bunnies floating by)
I also gave Jayne's room a quick clean up and moved around a few things.
I can't wait to start on Jill's new addition in her tiny little room.
Justin just needed a dusting and vacuuming as he keeps everything just so.
I took a little time for myself yesterday and watched a little TV which I never do during the day. Don't get me wrong I put the TV on and listen from other rooms in the house but never sit and watch. I usually put it on Hallmark so I can here Martha. It kinda felt funny to sit and watch TV during the day.
I went to the middle school last evening for a meeting for the grade 5 students who will be entering in the fall. Jayne will be one of them. ( I am so scared and she is so looking forward to it ) my little girl in middle school. Yikes!!!!
What's even worse is that Justin will be entering high school in the Fall. double Yikes!!!!
I will have three children attending three different schools. WOW I am going to be busy.

Jayne and Jill are keeping busy these days scrapbooking and working on their new doll houses. They are awaiting parcels in the mail for items they have saved to buy for their houses. It is so cute to see them working out in the garage with Daddy telling him what they want.
Justin is still busy with the Skidoos. He has fixed up a couple and has been doing a great job. Just like Daddy when it comes to mechanics . He also picked him self up a little work with the farmer over the road,hauling out wood from the woods to his house with the horse. (a little extra pocket money for gas for his skidooing)
HB had a terrible end to his work week last week. He was in a accident and they rolled the other guys jeep. luckily they were ok with only a few little nicks. HB had a sore neck and back and a some minor cuts for the glass, the other guys was the same with a very sore back and had a bad back problem. He is off for the week. But HB went back after his days off. Feeling better. He never stopped all weekend and said that is why he felt better,he says if he keeps going he will be fine. And he was.
Well I am still waiting on my new bedding set. It arrived last Tuesday and when the courier  came to the door, I owed brokerage fees of $160.00 I was in shock and told the driver that there was no way. He gave me the number of the courier  and went on his way with my parcel. Well after talking with someone they figured out that they had made the error at UPS and was going to fix the price. Then there system went down Thursday,Friday and then it was the weekend. I called on Monday morning nothing was done yet, I was getting a little upset. Monday afternoon they called and said they contacted the  courier who delivers here in the town to let them know to hold the parcel for 5 more days so that it won't get sent back, and that they are working on the case and it was their mistake. Well it is now Wednesday morning and I wonder if I will here anything today. I guess I was just not meant to have that bedding set.
HUMMM!!!!!
Ok enough of me going on. It will get here and we will have a beautiful bedding set soon enough.

Today is going to be a nice day of a high of 2 (No minuses ) maybe Spring is coming.
Well it is that time of morning to go and start breakfast for the weeones.

Homemade Wall Mount Clip it up

WOW 2 posts in one day. I was going to wait until tomorrow tomorrow to share this with you, but I was to excited to.
Ever since we started to work on our new craft corner we have been trying to same on space wise as much as we can.
While looking at all those great gadgets out there for scrapbookers I found a wall mount clip it up. I immediately fell in love and new it would be great under my desk area to save space.

Well I checked out the prices on these great things and found they came with a very hefty price tag. So I decided to try and make my own.

I made a video of what I came up with and it seems to be doing a great job.
