I'm Still Here

So sorry for my blog absence once again. Spring has been a very wet, cold and busy season.
May has come and gone so quickly.
Here is a recap of our May.
Mom had a rough start and we were preparing for the worse. I met with the Doctors and Lawyers. (not a good thing)
BUT!!!! she has come a very long way and is doing so well. God is with our family. Mom is well on her way home, she goes to the city on the 13th of June for some tests and then if all goes well she will be coming home. She will however require a lot of care but we are working on that now.
HB has been working his regular shifts, and when he is not working at his job, he has been busy working on the new piece on the house, sawing lumber, and planing his lumber. Together we have gotten our fencing done as well.
We made a huge clean up of all our scrap here on the farm and sold it while the price was up as well.
We have 2 chickens laying right now and soon to have some weeones running around. We also have some geese eggs in the incubator. And our chickens, turkeys, and ducklings will be arriving in June from the hatchery.
We cleaned out the travel trailer for the upcoming season,BUT!!!!! we found some terrible news. The wall we had replaced last year has reopened and is in bad shape. HB thinks it is to bad to use on the road. We decided to make a move and put one of our tractors for sale or trade on a travel trailer. We are still looking and we had a few people look. Tomorrow we are going into the city to check out the trailer store.
We have working hard this month in the green house things are coming along nicely. It is the only sign of Summer at the moment. Weather here has been terrible. There is still chances of frost at night and there has been so much rain. It does not get very warm for this time of the year. So everything id so far behind.
Jayne had her big night last Wednesday night. It was perfect. The weather worked in our favor. No rain. She looked great and her speech was perfect. What a great Award to have won.
The Turnaround Award for 2011

Here are a few of the pictures from that night. I will make a post all about it as my next post.

Saturday morning we went to the school's annual Yard sale (fund raiser for the grade 5 year end trip) in the rain but it was inside the school.
We were a little late getting there as we slept in as it was Hb's weekend to work and the house was so nice and quite. The girls however found a few little things to pick up.
Jayne found 2 different sets of crayola sets of color wonders with the markers and everything just like new.
Jill got her liv dolls a new chair with there own monkeys.

too cute!!!
Today it is raining again. It is warmer temps though. I think it is suppose to get to a high of 15 today with the rain. And.....thunderstorms. Tomorrow is suppose to be better.
I put a chicken in the oven for supper and we are going to run to the hospital to visit Mom with the girls this afternoon. Justin is away working down the road for a man who runs a compost business. Justin bags it up for them. (He loves to work for cash!!!) Who doesn't
Well it was great to get on and blog. I hope to be back really soon.
Until then take care and enjoy Spring! I hope it is nicer where you are.
